The Scott stands out with its stylish and well-maintained décor, offering guests design inspiration alongside comfortable rooms and bathrooms. Its location near Arthur's Seat makes it ideal for walks with stunning views, and the hotel provides dog-friendly amenities for those traveling with pets, including bowls and treats. Breakfast receives consistent praise, and complimentary coffee in the library is a welcomed touch; however, some guests have noted that the hotel is a bit outside the city center, though easily accessible by public transport.

i appreciated the baronial setting. the decor throughout the hotel was beautiful! i found the staff very friendly, and the complimentary whiskeys upon arrival were a great touch. there was convenient parking available and the 24-hour reception proved helpful.
Soundproofing in the room was inadequate. I was awakened several times during the night by a barking dog in an adjacent room, disruptive

undercooked mushroominconsistent quality
The room cost quite a bit per night. I found the room lacked that special something. there were spider webs in the room. I told the front desk about it hoping they would take care of it. But nothing changed the next day, even after the room was cleaned. also, breakfast was not consistent in quality. one day it was good, the next the mushrooms were undercooked
